The Strategic Agility of Information Systems Outsourcing

An increasing number of firms are offshoring information systems (IS) services to developing countries because of the high availability of inexpensive information technology talents. The IS outsourcing can largely reduce human resource costs and increase business agility. Managerial, social and assessment factors have a strong influence on the accomplishment of business agility. This study proposes a theoretical framework to understand the relationship of these three categories of factors and organizational agility in the offshoring context.
